The long-standing challenges facing second-hand car exports – "difficult overseas after-sales service and long service chains" – are now being systematically addressed.
On June 11, the Second Sichuan Province Second-Hand Car Export Supply-Demand Matchmaking Conference opened at the Chengdu Airport International Conference Center. The conference was hosted by the Chengdu Municipal Commerce Bureau and the People's Government of Shuangliu District, Chengdu, and co-organized by the China Automobile Dealers Association and the Sichuan Second-Hand Car Chamber of Commerce. Nearly 500 participants gathered in Chengdu, including industry associations and overseas buyers from Russia, South Korea, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan, as well as domestic automakers and traders.
At the event, China's first provincial-level overseas integrated service system for second-hand car exports – the Sichuan Province Second-Hand Car Export Overseas Integrated Service System – was officially released. The system covers exhibition, sales, warehousing, and after-sales maintenance, providing full-chain support and transforming second-hand car exports from simple trade into a global service ecosystem. At the same time, to address pain points such as the lack of overseas after-sales outlets and the difficulty of finding repair parts, the first six overseas integrated service stations of the China (Sichuan · Shuangliu) Second-Hand Car Export Base (hereinafter referred to as the "Shuangliu Base") – the province's first second-hand car export base – were jointly inaugurated. These stations are located in six key markets: Tashkent (Uzbekistan), Minsk (Belarus), Bishkek (Kyrgyzstan), Dubai (UAE), Moscow (Russia), and Baku (Azerbaijan). The overseas integrated service stations are led by the China (Sichuan · Shuangliu) Second-Hand Car Export Base and operated with the participation of provincial enterprises, achieving full coverage of key markets. This ensures that overseas customers have reliable purchase support and accessible repair services – truly enabling "services that follow the vehicles."

Beyond extending the overseas service network, a crucial step forward has been made in cross-provincial collaboration among domestic bases. The Shuangliu Base took the lead in signing the National Second-Hand Car Export Bases Collaborative Development Agreement with seven other bases: China (Chongqing · Banan) Automobile Export Base, China (Guiyang) Second-Hand Car Export Base, China (Zhuzhou) Second-Hand Car Export Base, China (Guangzhou · Baiyun) Automobile Export Base, China (Guangzhou · Pazhou) Automobile Export Base, Suifenhe Xingyun International Automobile Export Base, and China Nansha International Automobile Center. The eight bases have established an integrated mechanism for resource sharing, standard coordination, information exchange, and complementary advantages, breaking down regional barriers and driving second-hand car exports from fragmented competition to a united global push, thereby enhancing the overall competitiveness and voice of China's automotive industry in the global market.
With channels opened up, a stable vehicle supply is also critical. The Shuangliu Base signed on-site agreements with multiple leading vehicle sourcing platforms, becoming the first in China to build a large-scale, compliant, and sustainable export vehicle supply guarantee system, addressing the challenges of unstable supply and supply-demand imbalances.
Relying on this solid vehicle supply, a number of major trade orders were simultaneously secured. Buyers from Russia, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and other countries signed seven export orders with domestic enterprises, covering new energy vehicles and traditional fuel vehicles, with a total contract value of nearly 500 million yuan, involving complete vehicle exports and long-term purchase strategic cooperation.
To enable precise supply-demand matching, the event adopted a three-in-one model of "main venue + country-specific sessions + on-site inspections." Country-specific sessions for Russia and Central Asia were set up to facilitate one-on-one precise negotiations; overseas guests were organized to visit second-hand car exhibition and sales centers such as Homong, Jinhe, and Aokangda, as well as OEM plants of Zeekr and Lynk & Co., creating a one-stop closed loop of "negotiation – vehicle viewing – factory tours – contract signing," significantly improving efficiency in vehicle viewing and order signing.
This matchmaking conference has achieved four major breakthroughs: from product exports to system exports, from fragmented operations to national coordination, from vehicle supply shortages to stable supply, and from an inland base to an open hub – providing a replicable "Sichuan Model" for the high-quality development of national second-hand car exports.
