From its exterior styling and interior space to its underlying vehicle architecture, the all-new Li L8 has been completely redesigned specifically for five-seat family users.
The vehicle measures 5,135 mm in length, 2,000 mm in width, and 1,800 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,045 mm. A short front overhang and long rear overhang create an elegant and well-balanced profile. The high hood, muscular shoulders, and standard 285 mm-wide tires give the vehicle a powerful presence and sense of strength. At the same time, the fastback silhouette, more steeply raked sporty D-pillars, high-gloss black front lip, and rear diffuser give the all-new Li L8 its distinctive sporting character.
Li Auto has found that the greatest source of dissatisfaction among many five-seat SUV users is second-row comfort. This is where their partners, parents, and children sit. Yet for many years, the second rows of five-seat SUVs have involved compromises: adequate but not exceptional space, and reclining capability without genuine comfort.
The all-new Li L8’s purpose-built five-seat layout delivers outstanding space utilization. Standard second-row legroom measures 970 mm and expands to 1,300 mm when the zero-gravity seats are fully deployed. Headroom is 1,023 mm, while the standard seat height is 360 mm. Its second-row space is comparable to that of ultra-luxury SUVs priced above RMB 1 million.
After three years of in-house development, Li Auto created its “five-link Magic Carpet seat cushion” and introduced an industry-first second-row bench-style zero-gravity seating system. This solves the engineering challenge of combining a reclining bench-seat backrest with a large-angle zero-gravity position in a five-seat SUV.
As a result, the all-new Li L8 is the only five-seat SUV in the industry to come standard with four zero-gravity seats.
The standard second-row seat cushion is 525 mm long. Thanks to the five-link mechanism, the cushion can extend upward and forward by 37 mm to reach 562 mm. At the same time, the rear section of the cushion rises so that, even when the backrest reclines to its maximum angle of 55 degrees, the cushion continues to support the lower back without reducing legroom.
An extra-long pressure-relieving leg rest, measuring up to 420 mm with a maximum adjustment angle of 93 degrees, provides comprehensive support for the legs and lower back regardless of the occupant’s height or body type. Whether on a long journey or during a midday rest, users can enjoy comfort without pressure on the lower back, eliminating fatigue caused by prolonged sitting and delivering a genuine first-class experience: comfortable for long periods and ready for sleep the moment the seat reclines.
On this foundation, the foam beneath the Nappa leather seat cushion has been thickened to 15 mm and combined with three-dimensional quilting. A headrest, magnetic lumbar cushion, and integrated heated leg cushion provide second-row occupants with 270-degree enveloping comfort.
The all-new Li L8 also offers a range of conveniently accessible features for second-row users. Physical buttons on the rear door panels control ventilation, heating, massage, one-touch zero-gravity mode, and one-touch seat reset. The reset button is positioned within easy reach when the passenger is reclined in the zero-gravity position.
Powered door-closing buttons are installed in the headliner, allowing passengers to close the doors gracefully without sitting up. All four powered doors feature capacitive anti-pinch protection for both convenience and safety.
The oversized center armrest integrates 50W wireless charging and a 67W USB Type-C port. Powered sunshades, two enlarged folding tables, and color-adjustable illuminated vanity mirrors are also standard, providing a comfortable and versatile third-space experience.

The all-new Li L8 Ultra is equipped with the latest-generation Qualcomm Snapdragon 8797 Max chip. Compared with the previous-generation 8295 chip, CPU performance is improved by 1.8 times, GPU computing performance by 2.6 times, and NPU computing performance by 3.5 times. It powers the front-row 29-inch 6K integrated panoramic display, delivering an exceptionally smooth interactive experience.
The all-new Li L8 Livis is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8797 Elite chip and a 21-inch 4K movable rear-cabin display. Second-row passengers can summon the screen within reach with a simple hand gesture, operate it by touch, and allow it to return automatically after use.
The Flawless Star-Ring Theater Audio System has been purpose-designed for the five-seat cabin. It delivers a peak output of 4,720 watts through 27 speakers, including a 500W primary subwoofer and two 240W front-cabin opposed-force subwoofers. Both front seats come standard with Livis Pods spatial-audio headrest speakers.
From the amplifiers and speakers to Li Auto’s proprietary sound-processing algorithms, every part of the system meets flagship standards. When the first- and second-row seats are linked, the system delivers a full-body, 30-point hot-stone massage. Acoustic materials cover more than 95% of the all-new Li L8’s interior. The windshield, side windows, and panoramic roof all use double-layer acoustic glass. All versions come standard with Michelin PS5 Energy noise-reducing tires.
Brushless motors are used extensively to reduce operating noise from the powered seats, powered sunshades, powered refrigerator door, and windshield wipers.
Li Auto’s proprietary EOC, or Engine Order Cancellation system, and RNC, or Road Noise Cancellation system, use the speakers to generate inverse sound waves that counteract noise and low-frequency vibrations from the range extender and the road.
Together, these active and passive noise-reduction technologies give the all-new Li L8, even in range-extender mode, a level of quietness comparable to that of flagship battery-electric vehicles.
The luggage compartment offers a maximum capacity of 930 liters and a depth of more than 1.1 meters, easily accommodating luggage for long family journeys. With the seatbacks folded, capacity expands to more than 2,388 liters, with a maximum depth of two meters.
The luggage compartment also features a dual recessed-storage design. A large 95-liter compartment can discreetly store a carry-on suitcase, camping wagon, helmets, and protective equipment, allowing families to travel on weekends without having to choose between essential items while keeping the cabin neat and organized.
A smaller 15-liter recessed compartment is specifically designed for umbrellas, trekking poles, and other long objects, preventing them from rolling around while the vehicle is in motion.
The luggage compartment also supports a wide range of configurations. The second-row seats use a 40:20:40 split-folding design. Folding only the center section allows long equipment, such as skis or golf bags, to be carried without affecting the comfort of the other four occupants.
Four integrated anchor points and four hooks provide flexible expansion possibilities, transforming the luggage compartment into a multifunctional mobile workstation. Users can attach a cargo net to secure suitcases or create an outdoor camping work surface.
The all-new Li L8 can also be equipped with an optional powered tow hitch, making it easy to install bicycle carriers, motorcycle platforms, or lightweight trailers for family outdoor activities.
All versions of the all-new Li L8 come standard with a 72.7 kWh 5C supercharging battery specifically developed for range-extended electric vehicles. It delivers a CLTC all-electric range of 430 km.
In an official livestreamed urban test, the vehicle achieved an all-electric range of 439.7 km, representing 102% of its rated range, with average energy consumption of 14.9 kWh per 100 km.
Thanks to high-energy-density battery cells, a highly integrated battery-pack design, and adaptive state-of-charge error-identification technology, the 5C range-extender supercharging battery offers comprehensive improvements in capacity and energy density.
It achieves industry-leading performance across four key areas: safety, charging speed, power output, and service life.
When used with Li Auto’s 5C Supercharging Stations, the large-capacity 5C battery can charge from 10% to 80% in ten minutes, enabling all-electric operation for daily commuting and travel within a province.
To date, Li Auto has built more than 4,000 Supercharging Stations, with its charging network covering 290 cities across all 31 provincial-level regions of mainland China.
The all-new Li L8 is equipped with Li Auto’s proprietary 800V high-efficiency electric-drive platform, which adds more than 40 km of all-electric range. The vehicle offers a combined driving range of 1,670 km and charge-sustaining fuel consumption as low as 6.2 liters per 100 km.
The third-generation range extender uses technologies including a proprietary electronic intake-valve timing system, an in-house wide-range EGR system—Exhaust Gas Recirculation—and the HiTECS high-turbulence rapid-combustion system developed specifically for range extenders.
These technologies deliver real-world thermal efficiency of more than 43%. The operating range in which thermal efficiency exceeds 40% is also 66% larger than that of comparable systems.
This gives users an industry-leading range-extender experience characterized by extremely low fuel consumption, the lowest NVH sound-pressure levels, superior sound quality, nearly imperceptible starting and stopping, and exceptional durability.
The third-generation range extender also uses a double-sided plasma-cleaning process, together with a proprietary lubrication and ventilation system and dedicated long-life engine oil. This enables an extended service interval of three years for the vehicle or 30,000 km of range-extender operation, comparable to the maintenance experience of a battery-electric vehicle.
The all-new Li L8 Ultra is equipped with a by-wire Magic Carpet chassis incorporating three core technologies: the third-generation dual-chamber, dual-valve Magic Carpet air suspension, steer-by-wire, and rear-wheel steering.
The third-generation dual-chamber, dual-valve Magic Carpet air suspension uses a new dual-valve CDC system—Continuous Damping Control. Compression and rebound damping can be controlled completely independently, significantly improving response speed and adjustment accuracy.
On rough surfaces such as gravel roads and speed bumps, the system provides a premium ride that feels as though the vehicle is floating above the road.
All versions of the all-new Li L8 come standard with steer-by-wire and rear-wheel steering. The turning radius is only 5.1 meters, and a U-turn can be completed with less than half a turn of the steering wheel. This gives an SUV more than five meters long the agility of a compact vehicle in underground parking garages and urban environments.
The all-new Li L8 Livis is designed for users with a genuine passion for driving. It features an 800V active suspension system and a full-spec by-wire chassis incorporating steer-by-wire, rear-wheel steering, and EMB electromechanical braking.
The 800V active suspension provides independent control of all four wheels, delivering more than 10,000 newtons of active support force at each wheel.
It significantly reduces body roll during cornering and lane changes, allowing the all-new Li L8 to maintain a sports-car-like posture even on a racetrack.
Thanks to Li Auto’s full-stack, in-house control software, the 800V active suspension can continue to evolve through over-the-air updates.
In July 2026, Li Auto will release a new “Leveling Mode” to all Livis users. The feature actively levels the vehicle body on complex off-road surfaces, continuously improving chassis comfort and ensuring that delivery is only the beginning of the vehicle’s development.
The all-new Li L8 uses Li Auto’s third-generation Fortress Safety Body.
Its body structure incorporates 26 sections of hot-formed steel rated at 2,000 MPa or above, eight ultra-high-strength integrated die-cast components, an integrated dual crash-beam structure, and 15 energy-absorbing rings.
Together, these materials and structural designs comprehensively improve overall vehicle safety.
For battery safety, the 72.7 kWh 5C battery pack features a five-layer underbody protection structure consisting of high-strength aluminum, a crushable energy-absorbing frame, an impact-buffering layer, a high-toughness liquid-cooling plate, and generous energy-absorption space.
Its waterproof sealing has received both IPX8 and IPX9K certification.
The thermal-safety system covers five dimensions: thermal insulation, pressure relief, cooling, electrical insulation, and early warning. The battery pack has also passed thermal-runaway safety testing in high-temperature environments.
In terms of battery longevity, even when exclusively charged using 5C supercharging, the battery retains more than 80% state of health after 2,000 complete charge-discharge cycles, equivalent to more than 500,000 km of driving.
In active safety, as of June 14, 2026, the intelligent driving-assistance systems across Li Auto’s entire model range had completed more than 17.27 million active collision-avoidance interventions, including 55,671 major hazard-avoidance events.
Since 2022, Li Auto vehicles have averaged 12,000 active hazard-avoidance interventions per day.
This year, MACH Intelligent Driving Assistance will add overhanging-obstacle recognition, while the maximum speed for nighttime emergency stopping will increase to 130 km/h.
