On July 16, 2026, Li Auto officially launched the next-generation Li L6, an all-round four-wheel-drive SUV. The next-generation Li L6 is priced at a unified nationwide retail price of RMB 249,800, with orders opening immediately. Customers can experience the vehicle at Li Auto retail centers across China or book a test drive through the Li Auto App.
Since its launch in 2024, the Li L6 has achieved cumulative deliveries of nearly 400,000 units, establishing itself as a leading model in its segment. The next-generation Li L6 is a comprehensively redesigned model developed by Li Auto for the mid-to-large SUV market. While retaining the classic proportions, stance, and dimensions of its predecessor, the new model introduces systematic upgrades in exterior refinement, cabin luxury, driving dynamics, and full-stack intelligent technologies. It represents Li Auto’s all-round offering for the RMB 250,000 price segment.
Li Xiang, Chairman and CEO of Li Auto, said: “Over the past two years, the Li L6 has sold 400,000 units, making it the best-selling mid-to-large SUV in China by cumulative sales. Sales are only the result. The metric we care about most is product NPS, and the previous-generation Li L6 achieved a product NPS score of 78.5. The five strengths that customers valued most—driving experience, intelligent in-car systems, exterior design, ride comfort, and a high level of standard equipment—must all be retained and further improved. At the same time, users consistently highlighted three key areas for improvement: the 200-kilometer all-electric range was insufficient, a 30-minute charging time was too long, and the driver-assistance system was not good enough. The next-generation Li L6 addresses all three areas and aims to lead its class in each one. Every aspect of the experience must score above 80, with no weaknesses. That is what defines an all-round four-wheel-drive SUV—the king of user experience."
The next-generation Li L6 measures 4,935 mm in length, 1,960 mm in width, and 1,735 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,920 mm, maintaining the same overall dimensions as its predecessor. While retaining the classic luxury SUV stance characterized by a short front overhang and long rear overhang, the next-generation Li L6 features completely redesigned front and rear ends, significantly enhancing the vehicle’s overall refinement and visual quality.
The front fascia features a smaller trapezoidal air intake grille and a sporty front lip, complemented by an increased use of high-gloss black trim. Blade-inspired design details have also been incorporated into the side profile, giving the vehicle a stronger and more upright presence. At the rear, the license plate recess has been repositioned higher on the tailgate, optimizing the visual proportions from 50:50 to 70:30. This raises the visual center of gravity and creates a more three-dimensional appearance. The newly designed floating-cut Star Ring taillights feature sculpted lamp housings with rich layers of light refraction, delivering a more sculptural look during the day and a distinctive layered lighting effect at night. Meanwhile, the next-generation Li L6 replaces conventional ultrasonic sensors with a UWB high-precision near-field sensing system, eliminating the need for sensor openings in the bumpers and resulting in a cleaner, more refined exterior.
The next-generation Li L6 is available in seven exterior colors—the widest selection across the Li Auto lineup—including the new Dune Yellow and Hyacinth Purple, alongside classic options such as Elephant Gray, Obsidian Black, Meteorite Gray, Pearl White, and GT Silver. For the first time, an exclusive blacked-out appearance package is also available, featuring high-gloss black window trim, high-gloss black mirror bases, and high-gloss black wheels, delivering a premium and versatile factory-finished look.
In terms of door design, the next-generation Li L6 adopts conventional, non-retractable door handles across the lineup, meeting China’s upcoming 2027 national standards ahead of schedule. The handles support both electronic and mechanical unlocking, allowing occupants to open the doors mechanically in extreme situations such as a power failure or collision, in line with users’ instinctive responses during emergencies. In addition, soft-close doors are standard on all four doors, further enhancing everyday convenience and the vehicle’s premium experience.
Li Auto has found that younger consumers, including those born in the 1990s and 2000s, account for a significant proportion of the Li L6’s core customer base. As the interior is the sensory environment that users interact with most frequently on a daily basis, its level of refinement has a direct impact on the overall ownership experience. With this in mind, Li Auto has developed an all-new interior specifically for the next-generation Li L6, combining a premium feel with a youthful aesthetic.
The cabin features a layered two-tone design, with soft leather covering all frequently touched surfaces throughout the interior. Dark chrome accents extend across the steering wheel, air vents, and door handles, adding greater visual depth and sophistication. Three interior color schemes are available: Snowfield White two-tone, Wilderness Brown two-tone, and Amber Orange two-tone.
The front-row experience is a key focus of refinement for the next-generation Li L6. The front seats feature full-size zero-gravity functionality, providing comfortable support even for occupants up to 1.8 meters tall when reclining and resting. An 18-point kneading massage system covers all key areas, including the shoulders and neck, lower back, and hips.
The vehicle is also equipped with a multi-zone intelligent climate control system featuring five independent temperature zones. The driver and front passenger can independently adjust the temperature around the head and foot areas, while the second row has its own dedicated climate zone.
In addition, the next-generation Li L6 features large vanity mirrors with adjustable lighting color temperature and brightness. Four magnetic mounting points in the front-row area allow accessories such as tissue boxes to be installed flexibly without taking up additional storage space.
The second row was designed to bring sofa-like, deep relaxation into the cabin. The seatbacks can recline to a class-leading maximum angle of 140 degrees, with the entire backrest adjusting as a single unit. When fully reclined, the design provides ample shoulder room without creating a sense of restriction.
The class-leading 535 mm-long seat cushions feature an optimized inclination angle, helping prevent occupants from sliding forward when reclining at a steep angle. Armrests on both sides naturally align with the reclined seating position, providing generous lateral support. High-density privacy shades for the side windows further enhance cabin privacy and acoustic comfort.
The driving experience has long been one of the Li L6’s most highly regarded product strengths. In a survey of nearly 400,000 existing owners, driving experience ranked first in customer satisfaction. Building on this strong foundation, the next-generation Li L6 introduces further upgrades across the board to deliver enhanced ride, handling, and overall driving performance.
The next-generation Li L6 features a comprehensively upgraded chassis. Its suspension adopts a flagship-level architecture with double wishbones at the front and a five-link setup at the rear, using all-aluminum components throughout. Together with newly designed bushings and springs, this enables quicker and more agile vehicle responses.
Building on this foundation, the dampers have been upgraded to dual-valve continuously variable damping units. Compared with the previous-generation single-valve system, maximum available compression damping has increased by 100%, while maximum available rebound damping has improved by 30% to 50%. These enhancements effectively stabilize body movement over undulating roads, delivering a better balance between ride comfort and chassis support.
The sport steering system has also been completely redesigned, with steering sensitivity increased by 13.5%. This provides more direct responses in both urban driving and on winding mountain roads. In addition, the next-generation Li L6 comes standard with an intelligent all-wheel-drive system powered by dual front and rear motors, providing stable traction and strong all-terrain capability in challenging conditions such as rain, snow, mud, potholes, and steep gradients.
Improvements in driving refinement are also reflected in the continued optimization of cabin quietness. In addition to double-layer acoustic laminated glass, a double-layer insulated panoramic roof, and low-noise tires, the next-generation Li L6 introduces a four-point Road Noise Cancellation system. Using advanced algorithms, the system effectively suppresses low-frequency background noise transmitted from the road, creating a quieter and more relaxing cabin environment during long-distance journeys.
The next-generation Li L6 comes standard with a large 51 kWh battery pack, delivering a CLTC all-electric range of 300 kilometers and a combined range of 1,250 kilometers, allowing users to cover a typical week of daily commuting on a single charge. In terms of charging performance, the next-generation Li L6 supports a peak charging power of 260 kW, enabling a 20% to 80% fast charge in just 12 minutes. To date, Li Auto has built more than 4,100 supercharging stations, forming the largest automaker-operated supercharging network in China. Even after 3,000 full supercharging cycles, the 51 kWh battery retains more than 80% of its health, equivalent to over 500,000 kilometers of driving.
The next-generation Li L6 introduces a comprehensive upgrade to its intelligent driving assistance capabilities, powered by Li Auto’s self-developed Mach M100 chip and Mach VLA Driver Foundation Model.
Built on a 5-nanometer automotive-grade process, the Mach M100 delivers 1,280 TOPS of computing power from a single chip, with real-world operating efficiency exceeding 82%. As the world’s first mass-produced AI chip based on a dynamic dataflow architecture, it delivers several times the performance of mainstream intelligent driving chips across multiple industry-standard benchmarks.
The perception system features one forward-facing ATL-P high-performance LiDAR, seven 8-megapixel perception cameras, four 3-megapixel surround-view cameras, and a UWB high-precision near-field sensing system, providing comprehensive 360-degree environmental perception.
Alongside deliveries of the next-generation Li L6, Li Auto’s Mach intelligent driving assistance system will receive a range of capability upgrades by the end of July. Response times when pulling away at green lights will be significantly improved, enabling quicker and more decisive decision-making.
Two new speed preference modes—Efficient and Comfort—will also be introduced. Efficient Mode is optimized for daily commuting, while Comfort Mode is designed for family travel, meeting the differing needs of various driving scenarios.
Parking capabilities will be upgraded at the same time. The vehicle will be able to automatically identify suitable parking areas as target spaces and assist users in completing smooth, effortless parking maneuvers.
The first-generation Li L6 brought a flagship-level intelligent cockpit to the sub-RMB 300,000 market for the first time. Building on this foundation, the next-generation Li L6 introduces further upgrades with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8797 cockpit platform.
Compared with the previous-generation Snapdragon 8295 chip, CPU performance has increased by 1.8 times, GPU computing performance by 2.6 times, and NPU computing performance by 3.5 times. Paired with a 29-inch 6K integrated panoramic display across the front row, the system delivers a smoother, faster, and more efficient human-machine interaction experience.
The next-generation Li L6 further extends its intelligent experience to journey recording and multi-vehicle travel scenarios. The new model debuts a co-developed in-car filming feature with Insta360. A 1/4-inch threaded mount and a Type-C power port are integrated near the interior rearview mirror, while a customized in-car app jointly developed by Li Auto and Insta360 enables users to control recording, adjust camera settings, and review footage in full screen directly through the vehicle’s infotainment system.
Panoramic footage can be viewed immersively in full screen on the 29-inch 6K panoramic display, allowing users to capture and relive fleeting scenery and authentic moments with family throughout every journey.
The next-generation Li L6 also introduces a new Li Auto intercom function. Using cellular network connectivity, it enables unlimited-distance voice communication between vehicles traveling in a convoy and allows users to view the real-time locations of accompanying vehicles, significantly improving coordination and communication during multi-vehicle journeys.
